Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations in a multi-site manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the monthly close, managing consolidations across multiple entities, and supervising a team while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Lead consolidations for multiple entities and sites, including intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; provide clear direction and performance feedback
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements
- Partner with operations and finance leadership to support manufacturing accounting needs (inventory, cost accounting, variances, etc.)
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Support audits (internal and external) and serve as a key point of contact for auditors
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and system efficiencies across entities
- Utilize SAP to manage and optimize accounting and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA a plus)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience supporting multi-site and/or multi-entity organizations
- Strong background in financial consolidations
- Demonstrated ownership of a fast-paced, accurate close process
- Prior experience supervising or managing accounting staff
- Hands-on experience with SAP (strongly preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
