Assistant Property Manager, Kingston, NY
Pay rate $22-24/hour
Schedule:  8am – 5pm Monday – Friday

 

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for our 150-unit Senior living/Affordable housing community in Kingston. This property operates under both HUD and LIHTC programs.

This is a hands-on, compliance-driven role supporting the Property Manager with daily operations, occupancy, and resident relations. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in affordable housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily property operations and leasing activity
  • Process annual and interim recertifications (HUD & LIHTC)
  • Maintain occupancy and manage waiting lists
  • Ensure file compliance and audit readiness
  • Support inspections (MOR, NSPIRE, state agency)
  • Respond to resident inquiries and coordinate accommodations
  • Maintain accurate documentation across layered subsidy programs

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of property management experience
  • Strong knowledge of HUD Section 8 and LIHTC compliance
  • Familiarity with HUD Handbook 4350.3
  • COS or similar certification preferred
  • Experience with OneSite and Microsoft Office a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in property management or affordable housing
