Job Title: Retail Property Manager
Job Summary:
The Retail Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, financial performance, and tenant relations of retail properties. This role ensures that properties are well-maintained, fully leased, and operating efficiently while delivering a positive experience for tenants and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned retail properties, including maintenance, security, and vendor services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants; address concerns and ensure high tenant satisfaction
- Coordinate leasing activities in partnership with leasing teams, including tenant onboarding and renewals
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize property profitability
- Oversee rent collection, enforce lease terms, and handle delinquencies when necessary
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations
- Manage third-party vendors and service contracts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
- Analyze financial reports and prepare regular performance updates for ownership or senior management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards
- Develop and implement strategies to improve occupancy rates and tenant mix
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5+ years of property management experience, preferably in retail or commercial real estate
- Strong understanding of lease agreements, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
