Affordable Housing Leasing Agent, Madison, TN $22–$24/hour
We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Leasing Agent to join our team at a 250-unit family apartment community in Madison, TN. This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone with strong leasing experience, excellent customer service skills, and familiarity with affordable housing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all leasing activities including tours, applications, move-ins, and lease renewals
- Maintain occupancy goals and minimize vacancy loss
- Process rental applications and collect required documentation
- Assist with applicant screenings and file organization
- Support compliance with affordable housing regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or other housing programs
- Prepare resident files and ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready
- Respond to resident inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with marketing efforts, outreach, and community events
- Maintain knowledge of property availability, pricing, and lease terms
Qualifications:
- Previous leasing experience required (affordable housing experience strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Tax Credit, or Section 8 programs preferred
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, etc.)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
