Porter (Maintenance Support)

Full-Time or Part-Time | Monday–Friday
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join a 100-unit senior living community in Decatur, IL. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Experience in senior living or nursing home settings is highly preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Full-time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with an hour lunch
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking areas, and building exterior
- Empty trash receptacles throughout the property (interior and exterior)
- Move dumpsters out and back in daily
- Clean and stock common restrooms (including mopping floors, sanitizing toilets and sinks)
- Vacuum hallways and community spaces
- Sweep and mop entryways
- Clean and sanitize shared areas such as the kitchen, sunroom, fitness center, and laundry room
- Maintain trash chutes and chute rooms
- Complete minor maintenance tasks (e.g., unclogging toilets, replacing basic toilet components)
- Assist with unit turnovers, including light painting, trash removal, and cleaning
- Support special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in porter, janitorial, maintenance, or similar role preferred
- Experience in senior living or healthcare environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
