Practice Operations Manager

A growing, mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Practice Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day clinical operations and support continued expansion. This is a newly created role due to organizational growth, offering the opportunity to step into a key leadership position and help shape operational infrastructure.
Position Overview
The Practice Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, and regulatory compliance. This individual will partner closely with clinical and executive leadership to drive performance, improve workflows, and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations
- Supervise and support clinical and non-clinical staff
- Partner with leadership to address personnel matters and staffing needs
- Identify workflow gaps and implement process improvements
- Monitor provider productivity and operational performance metrics
- Manage scheduling, including provider coverage and time-off requests
- Oversee clinic ordering, inventory, and vendor coordination
- Support EMR optimization, updates, and troubleshooting
- Participate in budgeting processes and review operational expenses
- Lead performance management, including evaluations and staff development
- Ensure staff compliance with credentialing, training, and continuing education requirements
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS)
- Monitor patient satisfaction, clinical metrics, and key performance indicators
- Conduct audits and support resolution of patient or staff concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards
- Collaborate with leadership on program development and operational strategy
Patient Experience
- Address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–7+ years of healthcare operations or practice management experience
- Experience supervising staff and managing clinical workflows
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
