Psychiatrist 

ONSITE in Manhattan
Full time OR Part time (20 hours/week min)

$250-320k based on experince/schedule

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team to address the behavioral health needs of patients. The Psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor medication side effects, and participate in the treatment process. Services are provided within the scope of the practitioner’s license, certification, and professional standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, updates, and crisis interventions as needed.

  • Determine diagnoses and prescribe medications, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and substance use treatment.

  • Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated care.

  • Participate in case and multidisciplinary conferences to address complex medical and psychosocial needs.

  • Support integration of primary care and behavioral health services.

  • Facilitate appropriate transitions of care with external providers and hospitals.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and write reports as required.

  • Stay current with developments in patient care, healthcare legislation, and community resources.

  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.

  • Participate in staff development activities, including provider and multidisciplinary meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a four-year accredited medical school with completed residency in psychiatry.

  • Current NYS physician license; Board eligible or Board certified in psychiatry.

  • BLS-certified.

  • DEA license required.

  • MAT certification preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to assess, de-escalate, and intervene in crisis situations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
