POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform vital X-ray imaging for trauma, inpatient, and outpatient cases. You will gain a wide range of experience using cutting-edge technology while working collaboratively with a highly trained radiology team in a fast-paced academic medical center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnostic Imaging
- Perform appropriate studies in a timely manner using proper positioning, technique, and exposure factors with a goal of using the lowest dose possible
- Set up equipment and provide quality radiographs for radiologists and colleagues
- Perform exams on patients of all ages across all areas where Diagnostic Radiology is located and needed
- Ensure best turnaround time for all ordered exams to reduce delays in care
- Confirm that exams ordered match the reason for exam and patient presentation, condition, and history
Patient Care & Safety
- Prepare patients for exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and modesty at all times
- Always verify patient identifiers — name, DOB, MRN, correct exam, and laterality — every time
- Monitor each patient’s condition during exams and take appropriate action when assistance is needed
- Follow established infection control and safety procedures using the AIDET communication framework
Administrative
- Document exams properly in Radiology Information System and PACS
- Maintain professionalism in all in-person and phone interactions with staff, co-workers, visitors, and patients
- Maintain licensure, certifications, CEUs, and annual mandatory compliances
REQUIREMENTS
Education Completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses & Certifications
- Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT Certification and Registration (or Temporary MA License — must pass national ARRT registry within one year and obtain permanent licensure within that period)
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
Experience One year of Radiologic Technology work experience in a hospital preferred.

- Knowledge of the principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology practices and the operation of radiologic equipment
