RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST Boston, MA 02118 | Junior Level | Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem


COMPENSATION $62,000 – $83,400 | $15,000 Sign-On Bonus | Up to $5,000 Relocation Assistance | Some Visa Sponsorship Available


POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform vital X-ray imaging for trauma, inpatient, and outpatient cases. You will gain a wide range of experience using cutting-edge technology while working collaboratively with a highly trained radiology team in a fast-paced academic medical center.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnostic Imaging

  • Perform appropriate studies in a timely manner using proper positioning, technique, and exposure factors with a goal of using the lowest dose possible
  • Set up equipment and provide quality radiographs for radiologists and colleagues
  • Perform exams on patients of all ages across all areas where Diagnostic Radiology is located and needed
  • Ensure best turnaround time for all ordered exams to reduce delays in care
  • Confirm that exams ordered match the reason for exam and patient presentation, condition, and history

Patient Care & Safety

  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and modesty at all times
  • Always verify patient identifiers — name, DOB, MRN, correct exam, and laterality — every time
  • Monitor each patient’s condition during exams and take appropriate action when assistance is needed
  • Follow established infection control and safety procedures using the AIDET communication framework

Administrative

  • Document exams properly in Radiology Information System and PACS
  • Maintain professionalism in all in-person and phone interactions with staff, co-workers, visitors, and patients
  • Maintain licensure, certifications, CEUs, and annual mandatory compliances

REQUIREMENTS

Education Completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT Certification and Registration (or Temporary MA License — must pass national ARRT registry within one year and obtain permanent licensure within that period)
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification

Experience One year of Radiologic Technology work experience in a hospital preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of the principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology practices and the operation of radiologic equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and initiative
  • Maintain all Continuing Education Units
