Patient Service Representative
Temp to hire
Location: Lawrence, MA
Pay: $20-22/hr
Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 12:30pm-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 8:30am-5pm
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Perform patient registration functions for new and existing patients.
- Print schedules and call patients 24 hours in advance to confirm appointments.
- Answers all incoming calls quickly using the appropriate uniformed script.
- Screens calls and determine if:
- PSR can assist patients with request(s).
- Take a message and explains that patient will receive a call back.
- or transfer calls to a specific department for resolution.
- Collect co-pays and issue receipts.
- Schedule follow-up, new patient, prenatal etc. appointments with patients’ clinicians or activate recall list as ordered.
- Assist patients in filling out and completing Virtual Gateway Applications and explain Center policies.
Qualifications:
Experience
- Training in a Medical or Administrative field
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) required.
- Computer knowledge required.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Education
- High School diploma or GED certificate
