Position: Quality Engineer/Supervisor
Summary
We are looking for a hands-on leader who will take ownership of quality performance, challenge the status quo, and drive measurable improvements across our operations. You’ll play a key role by driving quality standards that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead quality strategy along with the QC Manager and implementation across operation
- Formatting quality plans, contract reviews, and support launching new products to the production floor
- Providing timely communication and delivery of test reports to customers
- Investigating and resolving quality issues by implementing corrective actions
- Developing and controlling inspection plans for molding and secondary operations
- Supporting and enforcing the ISO 9001:2015 management system
- Utilizing CMM, optical comparators, Hardness tester, hand-held measuring equipment
- Assisting team with all quality tests
- Direct oversite of inspectors
- Mentor and develop quality team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally between operations, Engineering and Customer service to resolve complex manufacturing and quality challenges
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position as required.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience in testing metal formed or machine components
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but equivalent experience will also be considered
- Lean or Six Sigma Experience
- Cp/Cpk experience
- Previous blueprint experience and GD&T knowledge
- FAI (First Article Inspection) & PPAP understanding
- Performing ISIR and FMEA
- Prior programming for CMM a plus
- Be a team-oriented professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability read, write, and communicate in English
